- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1 egg, well beaten
Directions

1Mix and sift dry ingredients.

2Combine milk, melted butter and egg.

3Add to dry ingredients slowly, beating until smooth.

4Bake in greased square pan in 375° oven 20 to 25 minutes.

5Cut in squares to serve.
