  • 3 1/2 c. corn bread crumbs
  • 3 1/2 c. crumbled biscuits
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. savory
  • 2 to 3 tsp. sage
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. hot chicken broth or more, if needed

Directions

    Mix bread and biscuits in a large pan or bowl.

    Melt butter and lightly saute onion and celery.

    Add to crumb mixture.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

    Bake in well-greased shallow pans in a 400° oven for 15 to 25 minutes.
