Corn Bread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken gizzards
  • 1 lb. lean ground meat (1/2 lb. beef, 1/2 lb. pork)
  • 4 chopped onions
  • 4 sticks chopped celery
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 2 c. chicken bouillon (10 oz.)
  • 4 c. corn bread
  • 1/2 c. chopped green onion
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    In Dutch oven, brown meat.

    Add onions, celery and garlic that have been sauteed for 5 minutes.

    Add bouillon soup. Worcestershire; season to taste.

    Bring to boil and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Mix in 4 cups corn bread and 1/2 cup onion tops.

    Bring seasoning up to taste.

    (Chicken gizzards are optional.

    You may increase the ground meat to substitute.)
