- 4 slices side bacon, cut in small pieces
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 c. diced raw potatoes
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 c. warm milk
- 1 (14 oz.) can whole kernel corn
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Fry bacon until crisp in a deep heavy saucepan.

2Remove bacon bits and drain on paper toweling.

3Pour off fat.

4Measure 2 tablespoons and return to saucepan.

5Add onions and cook until transparent, but not brown.

6Add raw potatoes and water.
-
7Bring to a boil.

8Reduce heat, cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until tender.

9Add remaining ingredients and heat just to boiling. Season to taste.

10Yields 6 cups.
