Hershey Bar Cake

  • 2 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2-1/2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 scant tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 4 Hershey bars (regular size)
  • 1 c. Hershey syrup
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. pecans

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Melt Hershey bars over hot water and add Hershey syrup; add to sugar-egg mixture.

    Add baking soda to buttermilk and fold into sugar-egg mixture alternately with flour and salt.

    Add vanilla and pecans.

    Bake in greased tube pan 325 degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

    Ice with your favorite icing.
