- 2 c. crabmeat
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve soda in buttermilk.

2Mix and sift together cornmeal, salt and baking powder.

3Add to beaten eggs alternately with buttermilk.

4Stir in shortening and mix well.

5Stir in crabmeat. Pour into greased muffin pans.

6Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes.

7Makes 18 muffins.
