  • 2/3 c. cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 8 to 10 hot dogs

Directions

    Combine cornmeal, flour and salt.

    Add milk, egg and oil.

    Mix well.

    Insert wooden skewers in one end of each hot dog.

    Coat with additional flour; dip into cornmeal mixture.

    Fry a few at a time in deep hot oil, 375°, until brown.
