- 1 c. cream-style corn
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. sugar
- dash of pepper
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1Add all measured, sifted and mixed dry ingredients to corn in a bowl.

2Add egg, then melted butter.

3Pour about an inch of oil into skillet and heat to frying temperature.

4Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into oil.

5Turn to brown.

6Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Yields 10 to 15 fritters.
