  • 1 c. fresh or canned corn
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten thick
  • 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • few grains paprika
  • 1 egg white, beaten stiff

Directions

    Cut corn from cob; drain.

    Add egg yolk.

    Stir in sifted dry ingredients.

    Fold in egg white.

    Drop from tablespoon into fat heated to 370°.

    Cook until delicately brown.

    Drain on paper towel.
