Ingredients

  • 1 can whole kernel yellow corn
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry in

Directions

    Combine egg and milk; stir in flour and salt.

    Stir in corn and make a fairly thin batter.

    Drop by tablespoons and fry 3 or 4 at a time in heavy saucepan until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels and keep fritters warm in 200° oven while frying remaining cakes.

    Makes 10 fritters.
