- 1 c. plain corn meal
- 1 1/2 c. boiling turnip greens liquid
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg
Directions

1Add corn meal to the hot boiling liquid; stir vigorously until a thick mush is formed.

2Add seasonings.

3Cool; add egg.

4Beat well and drop by rounded tablespoon onto a floured board.

5Roll into small balls.

6Dredge lightly with flour.

7Drop into boiling turnip greens liquid and cook slowly for about 15 minutes.

8Serve with greens.
