- 1 c. Crutchfields cornmeal
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. oil or melted shortening
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Sift together the dry ingredients.

2Beat together the egg and milk and add to dry ingredients along with oil, stirring just enough to dampen.

3Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake at 400° for 25 minutes.

4Makes 12 muffins.
