- 1/3 c. corn meal
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. milk
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Place corn meal, sugar, salt, shortening and milk in double boiler.

2Cook until thick, stirring frequently. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast softened in lukewarm water, then eggs. Beat thoroughly and let rise in warm place 2 hours.

3Add flour to form soft dough. Knead well on floured surface.

4Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise 1 hour.

5Punch down and make into rolls.

6Let rise until double and bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
