  • 2 pounds bacon, sliced
  • 13 1/2 quarts canned whole kernel corn
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 3/4 cup canned pimentos, drained and finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 quarts chopped green peppers
  • 4 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 1 1/4 cups melted shortening or salad oil

    Cook bacon until crisp.

    Set aside.

    Drain corn; mix with salt, pepper and pimentos.

    Saute peppers and onions in shortening until tender.

    Cook corn mixture over medium heat until hot, stirring constantly.
