  • 1 c. bacon fat
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 (16 oz.) can corn, drained (save liquid)
  • 1/4 c. liquid (from corn)

Directions

    Heat fat and oil in deep fryer or Dutch oven to 375°.

    Mix flour, baking powder, salt, eggs and corn liquid.

    Stir in corn. Drop by rounded tablespoons into hot fat until brown approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
