  • 1 (No. 2) can golden corn
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 medium-size can mushrooms
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 6 sprigs parsley

Directions

    Melt butter and add flour, stirring until smooth.

    Add corn, salt, pepper and sugar.

    Add unbeaten egg yolks.

    Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

    Remove from fire and add mushrooms. Fold in the beaten egg whites and pour in buttered baking dish. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 300° to 350°.

    Garnish with parsley and with bacon, cut in small pieces and fried crisp.
