  • 1 1/2 c. white or yellow corn meal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°. Mix all ingredients together. If using a cast-iron skillet, pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in skillet. Pour ingredients into skillet or pan. Spread some of the grease over top of the mixture. Place in oven and cook until golden brown.
