- 2 eggs
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. hot oil
Directions

1Beat eggs and milk together.

2Sift the dry ingredients and add the egg-milk mixture.

3Heat a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan with the 4 tablespoons oil.

4Coat the pan well with the oil.

5Pour off remaining oil into the bread mixture and beat well.

6Fill the oiled pan and bake at 400° for about 35 to 40 minutes.

7Cut into squares.
