Cornbread Dressing

  • 1 pan Old-Fashioned Egg Cornbread
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 to 6 stalks celery, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. sage
  • 6 slices white bread, crumbled
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • stock from turkey or chicken
  • 2 Tbsp. poultry seasoning

    Saute onion and celery.

    Crumble cornbread and add white bread, onion, celery, eggs, salt, pepper, sage, poultry seasoning and stock (may use canned stock and some water).

    Mix well; the mixture should be the consistency of thick cornbread batter.

    Pour into a large, oblong pan, greased or sprayed with Pam.

    Cook at 350° for 1 hour or until firm and browned on top.
