- 2 c. self-rising white corn meal
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 egg
- 4 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 4 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Directions

1Mix corn meal and flour in large mixing bowl.

2Add sugar and egg; beat in mix.

3Pour in milk and warm water.

4Heat skillet or muffin pan slightly.

5Add cooking oil and margarine in warm skillet or muffin pan.

6Pour mixture into skillet or pan.

7Preheat oven to 425°.

8Cook cornbread in skillet for 20 to 25 minutes or muffins 15 to 20 minutes.
