Cornbread Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 skillet cooked cornbread
  • 1 small can green chilies
  • pinch of sage
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp
  • 1 c. fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 2/3 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. mayonnaise to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can cream-style corn

Directions

    Make cornbread using yellow cornmeal and chilies.

    Cool. Crumble cornbread and bacon, then add the other ingredients.

    Add enough mayonnaise to moisten.
