- 2 slices Good-quality White Bread
- 5 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 can Corned Beef (approximately 12 Ounces)
- 1/2 cups Diced Onion
- 1 head Cauliflower (large)
- 3 Tablespoons Flour
- 1- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- 3 Tablespoons Parmesan, Grated

2Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

3Butter a shallow casserole dish (about 8 by 8 inches); set aside.

4Tear, or use a food processor to process, the 2 slices of bread into 1/4-inch breadcrumbs.

5Melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

6Pour butter into the bowl with bread, and toss.

9Over medium-high heat, saute crumbled corned beef with chopped onion for about 10 minutes.

12Meanwhile, after discarding any green leaves and the stalk, separate cauliflower into large florets.

13Place cauliflower in a medium pot and cover with water; add a little salt.

14Boil cauliflower florets for 15 minutes; cauliflower will be about half-way done.

18In a medium pot (I use the same pot used for the cauliflower) over medium heat, melt the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter.

21Slowly pour milk into flour-butter mixture while whisking.

22Continue cooking, whisking constantly, until the mixture bubbles and becomes thick.

24Stir in salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, and parmesan.
