Cornflour Biscuits

6 steps

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups Cornflour
  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Butter Or Ghee
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of Baking Powder
  • 1 and 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Whole Milk.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract.
  • Pinch of salt.

Directions

  1. 1
In a large bowl mix butter, powdered sugar - you can use hand mixer or a whisk. Keep whisking until you have a white creamy texture.
  2. 2
Add your eggs one at a time and keep whisking.
  3. 3
In another bowl mix your flour, baking powder, salt and cornflour.
  4. 4
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and keep whisking. I prefer to dig into the dough in order to get what I really need. You need to have a ball of a soft non-stick dough. You can add a teaspoon of whole milk to get the perfect consistency.
  5. 5
Put your dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes before shaping it. The shape of the biscuits is up to you but I personally prefer to use a piping bag.
  6. 6
Bake your biscuits in a hot oven for about 10 minutes. Let it cool for a while. Serve warm with a giant mug of Tea with Milk.
