Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 4 to 5 potatoes, washed, peeled and cubed
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can dark red kidney beans
- seasonings to taste
Directions

1Cook bacon and set aside for later.

2Cook ground beef and onion in bacon drippings.

3This is when I like to add salt, pepper and garlic salt.

4Depending on your taste, you could add Worcestershire sauce, chili powder or even Tabasco sauce.

5When beef is browned, add potatoes and tomatoes.

6Cook until potatoes are soft, but not mushy, about 30 to 45 minutes.

7Add corn and beans and simmer until they are hot.

8Crumble bacon in a separate bowl.

9Serve in bowls topped with crumbled bacon.* Serves 4 to 5 people.
