Crab Camembert Bread

Ingredients
- 1 (6 to 8 oz.) can crab meat
- 8 to 9 oz. Camembert cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 loaf unsliced French bread
- 1 can mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Drain crab and flake.

2Remove cheese rind and cut into chunks. Melt butter in a saucepan; add cheese, parsley, garlic and basil, on medium heat until blended; stir constantly.

3Fold in crab.

4Cut bread in half lengthwise and dig out small ditch in center of bread.

5Spread in crab/cheese mixture (mushrooms are optional). Place on a baking sheet.

6Brown 5 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Slice in 1/2-inch pieces and serve immediately.

7Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
