Crab Casserole

Ingredients
- 2 c. crab meat
- 8 slices bread
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 c. milk
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 1/2 oz.)
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese
Directions

1Dice half the bread in a large buttered casserole. Combine crab, mayonnaise, celery, green pepper, onion and salt.

2Spread over the diced bread.

3Spread remaining diced bread over crab mixture. Combine eggs and milk and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

4Bake at 325° for 15 minutes.

5Remove from oven and spread undiluted mushroom soup over top. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Return to oven and bake 1 hour longer.

6Yields 10 servings.
