  • 10 lb. crisp juicy crabapples
  • 15 c. sugar
  • 5 c. cider vinegar
  • 5 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
  • 2 tsp. cassia buds (optional)
  • 1 stick cinnamon

    Wash crabapples; do not remove stems.

    Pickle crabapples as soon as possible after picking before they become mellow.

    Make a syrup by boiling remaining ingredients for 3 minutes.
