  • 5 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Mix sugar, Karo, butter, cream of tartar and vanilla.

    Boil 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat; add baking soda.

    Mix well.

    Pour over popped corn and mix.

    Spread on two buttered cookie sheets and bake 1 hour at 200°.

    Break apart while still warm.
