- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 6 to 8 qt. popped popcorn
Directions

1Combine brown sugar, cream of tartar, butter and corn syrup in large heavy kettle.

2Boil for 5 minutes.

3Remove from heat and add baking soda.

4Pour over popped popcorn.

5Stir well until coated. Bake 1 hour at 200°.

6Stir every 15 minutes.

7Cool and store in an airtight container.
