Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup or molasses
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6-8 qt. popped corn
  • small can of dry roasted peanuts

Directions

    Melt butter in pan.

    Stir in sugar, syrup and salt.

    Bring to boil stirring constantly.

    Continue to boil without stirring for 4 minutes.

    Remove from stove and stir in soda and vanilla.

    Pour over popped corn.

    Mix well.

    Divide in 2 large shallow baking pan.

    Bake 1 hour at 250° stirring every 15 minutes.

    Cool.

    Break apart and store in tightly covered container.
