  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 1/4 c. sour milk
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. pork crackling

    Combine dry ingredients.

    Add egg, sour milk and oil; blend well.

    Add 1 cup cracklings, stir and pour into a greased 8-inch square pan.

    Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until done.

    Cut in squares and serve.
