- 2 loaves French bread
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 large onion, diced
- bacon (as desired), fried
- 4 tsp. poppy seed
- paprika
- 1 lb. sliced Swiss cheese
Directions

1Slice bread almost through crust.

2Place a slice of cheese between each slice of bread.

3Melt butter with onion and poppy seed.

4Pour over bread, wrapped loosely in foil.

5Sprinkle with paprika.

6Heat for 20 to 25 minutes at 325°, until cheese melts. May top with crumbled bacon before baking.
