- 2 c. milk
- 5 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring

1Beat 1 egg and 1 1/2 cups sugar together, then add 1/2 cup sifted flour; wet with a little milk to make perfectly smooth. Stir all of this into 1 pint boiling milk.

2It is best to put the milk into a double boiler to prevent it from burning.
