Cream Corn Custard

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 1/2 oz.) cream-style corn
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 c. half and half cream

    Stir corn, eggs, cheese and green pepper together.

    Combine flour, sugar and seasonings.

    Add to corn mixture.

    Stir in half and half.

    Spoon into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.

    Set baking dish in a deep pan and add one inch hot water to outer pan. Bake in preheated 325° oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
