  • 1/2 cup butter or shortening
  • 1/4 teaspoonn salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sifted all purpose flour

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

    Combine butter, salt and water in saucepan. Bring to full boil, stirring until butter melts, add flour and beat at low heat till mixture forms a compact ball and leaves side of pan about 30 seconds. Beat in eggs one at a time at medium 30 seconds each

    Drop by tablespoon 2 inches apart on greased pan. Bake at 375 degree oven for 45 to 50 mins. Cut slits, return for 5 mins to oven to dry
