- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Bring butter, water and salt to a boil until butter is melted. Put on low heat, add the flour, stir constantly.

2When the mixture falls away from the sides of the pan, turn off heat.

3Add 1 egg at a time and beat very, very well.

4Drop one tablespoon of the mixture at a time on a greased baking sheet, leave plenty of room between each spoonful for the mixture to expand.

5Bake at 400° for approximately 40 minutes, take out of oven and slice the top of each puff, return to the oven for approximately 5 minutes.

6Makes approximately 12 large cream puffs.
