  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion Safeway 3 lb For $2.99 thru 02/09
  • 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cans (16 oz.) cream-style corn
  • 2 cans (14-1/2 oz.) chicken broth
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

    Cook bacon in large saucepan over medium-high heat until crisp; remove and crumble bacon.

    Pour off all but 2 tablespoons drippings.

    Cook onion and green pepper in reserved drippings for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add corn, broth and black pepper.

    Heat to a boil; reduce heat.

    Cover; simmer for 15 minutes.

    Sprinkle with bacon to serve.
