- 1 pkg. (18 oz.) frozen cut leaf spinach
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Cook spinach according to package directions.

2Drain.

3Melt 3 tablespoons butter in saucepan; add onions and cook until tender. Blend in flour, salt and nutmeg, stirring over low heat.

4Gradually add milk, stirring until sauce thickens.

5Add cheese and spinach; heat thoroughly.

6Meanwhile, mix bread crumbs with melted butter. Place spinach in serving dish and sprinkle with bread crumb mixture.

7Serves 8.
