  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for serving
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins

    Stir together milk, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan over medium. Cook, stirring often, until sugar is mostly dissolved. Add cooked rice; cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 15 minutes.
