- 1 lb. dried lima beans
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of poultry seasoning
Directions

1Wash and soak beans overnight in 2 quarts of water.

2Simmer in the same water until tender (1 to 1 1/4 hours).

3Season beans with salt after 1/2 hour of cooking.

4Drain the beans and put in a casserole dish, reserving 1/2 cup of the boiling liquid.

5Cook meat and onion in oil, stirring until slightly browned.

6Add tomato sauce and rest of ingredients.

7Mix and pour over the beans while hot.

8Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour or until bubbly and hot.

9Makes 5 to 6 servings.
