- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 (17 oz.) cans cream-style corn
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 6 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat.

2Add flour, cornmeal and sugar.

3Stir until smooth.

4Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

5Gradually add milk.

6Cook over medium heat.

7Stir constantly until mixture is thick and bubbly.

8Stir in salt, corn and green pepper.

9Gradually stir about 1/4 of hot mixture into eggs.

10Stir constantly and add remaining hot mixture.
