Creamy Ham & Noodle Bake

  • 340 grams ditalini pasta
  • 300 grams ham steak
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder yellow
  • 1 pinch tarragon
  • 2 tablespoons onion flakes
  • 1 1/4 cups grated cheese Italian 4 cheese blend
  • 2 cups frozen peas

    Cook pasta in 1 quart of cold water in a frying pan (no lid) until al dente. Most of the water will be absorbed, leaving you with a bit of 'sauce'.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk eggs and sour cream until smooth. Add ham, minced onion, dill, tarragon, mustard, peas, and 1 cup cheese. Season well with black pepper. Transfer pasta into 3 quart baking dish. Slowly add egg/cheese mixture into pasta mixing well

    Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of cheese and a sprinkle of dill. Bake (uncovered) at 350 for 30 minutes, watch the casserole during the last 10 - you might need to put foil over to prevent the edges from getting too brown.
