  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk, divided
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1/3 c. walnuts

Directions

    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and white sugar in large bowl.

    Add brown sugar, shortening and 3/4 cup milk.

    Mix until flour is dampened.

    Beat 2 minutes.

    Add eggs, 1/4 cup milk, maple flavoring and walnuts.
