- 3 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 10 c. stale French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 12 oz.)
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Beat eggs until frothy.

2Beat in sugar.

3Add milk, vanilla and nutmeg.

4Mix thoroughly.

5Add bread and raisins and let set 15 minutes before pouring into 9 x 13-inch pan or a 4-quart baking dish.

6Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
