- 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
- 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 3 c. sliced okra
- 3 c. chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings until tender. Add okra.

2Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Add a small amount of water, if necessary.
