- 3 lb. frying chicken, cut in serving pieces
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Dip pieces of chicken in buttermilk and drain.

2Combine flour, salt and pepper in paper bag.

3Place one piece of chicken at a time in bag and shake well to coat evenly with flour.

4Fry chicken in deep hot shortening until chicken is brown and crisp, 10 to 12 minutes.
