  • 100 grams Butter
  • 50 grams Sugar (caster or granulated sugar)
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 dash Vanilla extract
  • 160 grams Cake flour

    I doubled the recipe.

    Cream the butter brought to room temperature with a whisk.

    If microwaving the butter, take it out of the microwave before it starts separating and melting!

    Add sugar in 2 - 3 batches, and mix well until the mixture turns pale.
