- 2 c. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/8 c. canning salt
- 1/2 clove garlic
- cayenne pepper (fresh or 1/2 tsp. ground)
- dill weed
- fresh pickling cucumber
Directions

1Wash fresh cucumbers with brush, then soak in ice water for 2 hours.

2Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil.

3Pack chilled cucumbers, garlic, cayenne and dill in clear hot jars.

4Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers and screw on lids.

5Put jars in simmering water (2/3 of jars in water).

6Simmer 10 minutes. Remove, screw down lids tightly.

7Quickly invert, then right jars. Can eat in 2 weeks.
