  • 3 c. all-purpose flour (Swans Down)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 9 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract

    Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

    Blend until smooth.

    Beat on medium speed of electric mixer 10 to 15 minutes or until fluffy.

    Spoon batter into greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 25 minutes or until done.

    Makes a large cake.
