  • 6 to 10 cukes
  • 2 Tbsp. pickling spice
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 qt. water
  • 1/2 c. kosher salt
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. alum
  • bunch of dill (fresh)

Directions

    Place dill on bottom of crock.

    Place whole cukes next.

    Add pickling spice and whole garlic.

    Boil water; add salt, vinegar and alum.

    Cool.

    Pour over cukes.

    Place lid on top.

    Ready in 4 days.
